Micaela Itona is an accomplished legal professional with a Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law, specializing in Health Law. She has a strong background in law, technology, and culture, earning her B.A. magna cum laude from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Micaela has diverse legal experience, including roles as a Cannabis Legal Strategy Analyst and Law Clerk, where she focused on cannabis licensing and regulations. She has also interned at prominent organizations, such as Demant and Exiger, where she contributed to compliance and privacy initiatives. Most recently, she was a Law Clerk at Emerge Law Group, where she focused on cannabis licensing and regulations.
Micaela's commitment to social justice and public service is evident through her involvement in expungement clinic efforts. As a volunteer for Blaze Responsibly™, she aids pro bono attorneys at monthly clinics in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Florida, that focus on helping people clear their criminal records of expungement-eligible offenses, including cannabis-related charges.
