Joshua Thomas

Director of Development


Joshua Thomas is a philanthropy and global partnerships strategist who has built his career at the intersection of international engagement, nonprofit leadership, and the arts. He currently serves as Regional Director of International Relations at the Wharton School, where he leads global fundraising and stakeholder engagement across Europe, Latin America, and Africa. His work has secured transformational gifts, strengthened advisory boards, and expanded Wharton’s international footprint.

Prior to Wharton, Joshua held senior leadership roles with The Philly POPS, including Vice President of External Affairs, where he drove record fundraising and expanded community and education programs reaching thousands of students. Earlier, he managed donor and patron relations for the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, securing vital grants and building audience engagement.

He also served as a consultant with Tessitura Network, helping design and expand its Early Career and Career Accelerator programs to diversify the arts and culture workforce worldwide. Beyond his professional roles, Joshua contributes as a board member of the Fitler Foundation. A graduate of Temple University, he also completed Penn’s Advising for Impact program in high-impact philanthropy.
