New UHI Program Updates
The NJBPU Urban Heat Island (UHI) Mitigation Program has announced a new round of funding beginning on October 14, 2025. The UHI Program allows Overburdened Municipalities (OBMs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to receive funding to mitigate against extreme heat by implementing cooling tactics within a community for tree-related actions. Keep an eye out for this NOFO, out today, October 6.

OJJDP FY25 Community and Schools Youth Drug Prevention Program
The Department of Justice has made funds available to support the delivery of substance use prevention programs for youth in schools and extracurricular settings in coordination with local law enforcement and community coalitions.
