BJA FY25 Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program to Support Law Enforcement Agencies

The Department of Justice has made funds available to provide federal support to publicly funded law enforcement and correctional agencies for the purchase or lease of Body-Worn Cameras and the development of comprehensive Body-Worn Camera programs. Eligible applicants can apply to one of the following categories:

Category 1: Site-Based Awards to Publicly Funded Law Enforcement Agencies

Category 2: Site-Based Awards to Publicly Funded Correctional Agencies

Category 3: Digital Evidence Management, Sharing, and Integration Demonstration Projects


Funding Amount: Up to $2,000,000 (for Categories 1 and 2 applications), Up to $1,000,000 (for Category 3 applications)

Application Deadline: 10/27 (Grants.gov submission) 11/3 (JustGrants submission)

Match: 50% (for Categories 1 and 2 applications)

BJA FY25 Office of Justice Programs Community-Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative

The Department of Justice has made funds available to support law enforcement efforts to reduce violent crime and improve police-community relations through a range of cross-sector enforcement, prevention, and intervention strategies that leverage active collaboration with communities through sustained partnerships and engagement. This program will address key drivers of violence and reduce violent crime by utilizing more collaborative, community-oriented approaches to advance public safety and improve police-community relations through a variety of strategies.

Funding Amount: Up to $2,000,000

Application Deadline: 10/27 (Grants.gov submission) 11/3 (JustGrants submission)

The purpose of the NJ Department of Environmental Protection's Green Acres program is to meet the state's growing recreation and conservation needs by preserving its natural, historic, and cultural heritage. This program funds open space and parkland, park development, and stewardship projects across New Jersey to grow the state's protected lands.

Funding Amount: During the last funding round, the NJDEP approved a total of $114 million.

Application Deadline: 2/6/2026

Match: At least 25% of project costs.
