NPS: Battlefield Land Acquisition Grant
The National Park Service's "Battlefield Land Acquisition Grant" helps state and local governments preserve eligible battlefields from the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the Civil War. Award funding allows grantees to acquire eligible land through fee-simple or less-than-fee (easement) interests. With the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution around the corner, the National Park Service encourages projects that enhance our understanding of the origins of the United States.
