State Homeland Security Program

FEMA's "State Homeland Security Program" supports the implementation of risk-driven, capabilities-based State Homeland Security Strategies to address capability targets. Allowable costs generally fall into five main categories: planning, organization, equipment, training, and exercises (POETE). All projects funded must demonstrate a clear connection to building capabilities that prevent, prepare for, protect against, or respond to acts of terrorism.

School Violence Prevention Program

COPS "School Violence Prevention Program" is aimed at helping improve security at schools and on school grounds in the jurisdiction of the grantee through evidence-based school safety programs and technology. 

Funding Amount: Up to $500,000

Green Acres Program

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's "Green Acres Program" provides grant and loan funding to preserve open space, create and rehabilitate parks, and implement land stewardship improvements at public parks. 

This program has numerous planning and public engagement requirements. It is important to start thinking about this grant early to ensure your application is competitive. 

Funding Amount: Over $90,000,000 in total funding, based on previous funding round

Match: 25%
