The US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Supportive Housing for the Elderly Program helps nonprofits develop rental housing. Specifically, housing for Low-Income residents over the age of 62. Funds can also be used to develop intergenerational housing for elderly caregivers. Applications are due June 20, 2024. The Department of Transportation's "Safe Streets and Roads for All" program provides community funding to increase roadway safety. Applicants can submit for funding to develop a comprehensive safety plan for their community or to improve and implement an existing plan. The program has $1 billion in total funding, and the first round of applications is due April 4, 2024. NJDOL's Women and Minorities in Construction program offers a total of $4 million to increase opportunities for women and minorities to acquire skills, increase employment opportunities, and benefit economically from construction and infrastructure projects. TD Charitable Foundation Capacity Building Grants provide funding to help strengthen and increase the impact of nonprofit organizations on the people they serve. The foundation prioritizes nonprofits that support historically underserved and low-to-moderate-income communities. Applicants can request up to $150,000, and applications are due June 21, 2024. The 2024 application cycle for Walmart Foundation’s "Spark Good Local Grants" begins March 1. "Spark Good" grants are up to $5,000.
