RETROFIT NJ
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s “Reducing Emissions through Retrofits Optimization, Fuel-switching, and Innovative Technologies” (RETROFIT NJ) Grant Program is a $225 million grant program that provides financial assistance to multi-pronged, large-scale retrofit projects that enable holistic energy improvements at buildings, campuses, and multi-building facilities. Eligible costs include hard and soft construction costs, including design, equipment, construction, and commissioning from projects that significantly reduce carbon emissions, serve as replicable models, accelerate New Jersey’s clean energy transition, and stimulate economic growth in the clean energy industry.
This program replaces the NJEDA’s “NJ COOL” program. Excluding NJ COOL, this award is stackable with any other incentive programs from utilities and/or federal, state, and local government agencies.
Funding Amount: $2.5 to $12.5 million
Match: Up to 50%, based on last round’s funding
Application Deadline: Forecasted October 2026

Arts & Community Health
The Horizon Foundation's "Arts and Community Health" program promotes the role that the arts play in supporting health. The goal of this program is to support new and innovative arts programs and empower local communities to achieve their best health. This program has the following areas of focus:
Encouraging healthy behaviors (physical, oral, and mental).
Promoting health literacy by equipping residents with the knowledge and tools to understand, navigate, and act on health information.
Connecting communities to available health services and resources.
Delivering clear, relevant, and memorable health information – e.g., encouraging healthy behavior through creative expression.
Special consideration will be given to projects that address health literacy gaps in underserved communities and provide tools to navigate barriers related to language, health systems, and coverage.
Funding Amount: $10,000-$25,000 (based on past awards).

Community Policing Development Microgrants
The US Department of Justice’s Community Oriented Policing Solutions “Community Policing Development Microgrants” Program provides funding to local law enforcement agencies to implement demonstration or pilot programs that work to solve problems in the agency or community, to advance crime fighting, community engagement, problem solving, or organizational changes in support of community policing. This grant has multiple focus areas:
Preventing and Investigating Domestic Terrorism.
Violent Crime Enforcement and Investigations.
Gang Violence Enforcement and Investigations.
Detecting and Investigating Human Trafficking.
Investigating and Interrupting Child Exploitation.
Vagrancy and Squatting.
Immigration and Border Security.
Investigating and Interrupting Opioid and Drug Markets.
Officers Recruitment, Hiring, and Retention.
Unmanned Aerial Systems.
Investigating and Interrupting Cyber Crime.
Funding Amount: Up to $200,000

Recreational Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities
The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs' "Recreational Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities" supports local governments with recreational programs that:
Commence or expand recreation & leisure services for persons with disabilities
Improve the status of persons with disabilities as members of the total society, and
Promote the least restrictive environment in providing recreation and leisure services for persons with disabilities.
Agencies that coordinate on a project can receive up to $35,000 in funding! This application needs a Resolution. Please reach out to your program managers if you are interested in this opportunity!
Funding Amount: $5,000 to $20,000 (Up to $35,000 for a multi-municipality)
Match: 20%
