US Department of Defense: Community Noise Mitigation Program
The US Department of Defense is offering grant funding to install noise mitigation insulation at covered facilities, including the installation of air conditioning. State and local governments are eligible for this $13,084,552 award; however, municipalities may want to wait to apply for pass-through funding from the State. There is a 10% matching requirement.

National Endowment for the Humanities: Public Impact Projects Celebrating America's 250th Anniversary
2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. In recognition of this milestone, NEH will award grants to assist cultural organizations in expanding the scope, reach, and excellence of public programs that examine the founding of the nation and the significance of the Declaration of Independence. Public Impact Projects Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary support projects that focus on public interpretation of the Founding Era and the lasting impact of the people and events that propelled the Revolution. Supported activities must be designed to connect audiences to the ideas of the American Revolution through the synthesis of scholarship from fields in the humanities and may include:
Collaborating with scholars and interpretive consultants to develop new interpretive plans
Implementing tours, exhibitions, or other public-facing interpretive programs
Assessing the opportunities presented by your collections and other resources to tell compelling stories of the legacy of the Declaration of Independence
Training staff and volunteers in new methods and best practices for public interpretation

The Norman Foundation
The Norman Foundation awards grants to nonprofits that promote environmental, economic, and social justice. Grants may be used for projects, general support, collaborative efforts, as well as to build capacity for organizations working in the foundation’s areas of interest. Funding is provided for efforts that:
Promote economic justice and development through community organizing, coalition building, and policy reform efforts.
Work to prevent the disposal of toxics in communities and to link environmental issues with economic and social justice.
Link community-based economic and environmental justice organizing to national and international reform efforts.
