US Small Business Administration Manufacturing in America E2G Grant Initiative

The Empower to Grow (E2G) Program supports small manufacturers in critical industries to support the agency’s ongoing effort to rebuild domestic supply chains, bring back American jobs, and promote industrial dominance. Small businesses will be provided with free business courses, in-person, hands-on training, and one-on-one consulting to support growth, operations, hiring, regulatory compliance, and competitiveness in government contracting.

Key support industries include: aerospace, shipbuilding, rail equipment, mining, industrial machinery and equipment, construction equipment, metal fabrication, electrical equipment, food processing, medical and precision manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, and robotics.

USDOD FY26 Defense Community Infrastructure Program

Provides funding for deficiencies in community infrastructure that can/does support a military installation’s readiness and lethality. This program benefits and supports the readiness of military installations, service members, and their families, as well as the defense communities in which they live and work. 

Funding Amount: $250,000 to $20,000,000

Match: 30%

NJEDA Technology Business Tax Certificate Transfer Program

Supports innovative start-ups by enabling qualified, unprofitable New Jersey-based technology or biotechnology companies with fewer than 225 U.S. employees to sell a percentage of their net operating losses and R&D tax credits. Participants can use capital raised through the NOL program to help cover allowable costs incurred in operating their businesses, such as salaries, R&D, and other working capital expenditures. 

Funding Amount: Up to $75 million annually, with $15 million set aside for businesses located in Innovation Zones, Opportunity Zones, or NJ-certified minority and/or woman-owned businesses. 

Net operating losses and R&D tax credits may be sold for at least 80% of their value. Maximum lifetime benefit of $20 million per business.
