BJA FY 2026 Crisis Response Team Training
The US Department of Justice’s “BJA FY 2026 Crisis Response Team Training Program” supports local governments and law enforcement agencies to develop, implement, or expand crisis response training programs that enhance public safety, officer safety, and operational effectiveness by improving law enforcement responses to individuals in crisis who have behavioral health conditions (including mental health and substance use disorders), intellectual and developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or traumatic brain injuries. This program will equip law enforcement with tactical skills, strategies, and technology to effectively address crisis situations and enhance public safety.

Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-saving Transportation (PROTECT) Competitive Grant Program
The PROTECT Competitive Grant Program aims to plan for and strengthen surface transportation to be more resilient to current and future weather events, natural disasters, and changing conditions, such as severe storms, flooding, drought, levee and dam failures, wildfire, rockslides, mudslides, sea level rise, extreme weather, including extreme temperatures, and earthquakes. There is a Planning Grant or Resilience Grants (Resilience Improvement, Community Resilience and Evacuation Route, and At-Risk Coastal Infrastructure Grants). The program funds projects that improve the resilience of the surface transportation system, including highways, public transportation, ports, and intercity passenger rail.
