Museums for America
The Institute of Museum and Library Services' "Museums for America (MFA)" program invests in museums of all sizes and disciplines in project-based efforts to serve the public through educational programs and exhibits, community partnerships, and collections stewardship activities. Awards will strengthen museums' ability to serve people of all ages and backgrounds through programming, respond to community needs in their surrounding areas, and care for their collections.

General Operating Support For Arts Organizations
The New Jersey State Council on the Arts’ “General Operating Support FY2028 Grant Program” provides annual support over a three-year period for eligible operating expenses. This program is geared towards organizations whose missions focus exclusively on the arts. Eligible awards are based on the applicant organization's yearly budget:
Organizations with annual expenditures under $500,000 are eligible to request up to 30% of their projected FY2027 operational expenses.
Organizations with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $2,000,000 are eligible to request up to 15% of their projected budget.
Organizations whose budgets range from $2,000,000 to $10,000,000 are eligible to request up to 10% of their projected budget.
Organizations whose budgets exceed $10,000,000 are eligible to request up to 5% of their budget.

PA Local Share Account Program
The Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development’s “Local Share Account - Statewide” program funds projects in the public interest in Pennsylvania. Eligible projects must be owned and maintained by an eligible applicant (such as municipalities or county-based governments) or a nonprofit. Grant-funded activities include:
Acquisition
Construction (including renovation and rehabilitation)
Demolition
Infrastructure (sidewalks for public use are eligible)
Purchase of vehicles, machinery, and/or equipment (cannot lease equipment)
Planning, consulting, and design costs related to planning projects
Engineering, design, and inspection (includes permitting fees for construction)
Administrative costs for grant (includes advertising and legal costs)
Funding Amount: $25,000 to $1,000,000

2027 Safe Routes to School Program
This is the final call to prepare applications for the NJ Department of Transportation’s “Safe Routes to School” grant program. Schedule pre-application consultation meetings now. These meetings are between you and the NJ Department of Transportation to discuss the project. This meeting is required to apply, and spots are filling up fast!
This program provides funding to municipalities, school districts, and counties to encourage children in grades K-12 to walk and bicycle to school. This program supports the development and implementation of projects and activities that improve safety and reduce traffic, fuel consumption, and air pollution near New Jersey schools serving students in grades K-12.
Funding Amount: Approximately $21.1 million in total funding for 23 grants (based on the last funding round)

AG Updates: Award Agreement Execution
As we are approaching the end of the year, it is important to check the status of any pending grant applications that were submitted this year!
The Aubrey Group regularly checks for press releases or other award announcements. When grants are submitted, the head of the organization is listed as the main point of contact for the grant. This contact is often the first to receive notification of an award (oftentimes through email) before it is released publicly. Please forward any award notifications to your relevant project manager!
