STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY SUPERVISION AGENCY OPERATIONS PROGRAM

This program from the Bureau of Justice Assistance supports state, local, and tribal community supervision agencies to develop more effective probation and parole programs. This program is also meant to improve supervision outcomes by strengthening operations to prevent recidivism and reduce violent crime. Interested applicants can apply to one of two tracks:

Category 1: Smart Supervision "Smart Supervision" supports the development, implementation, and/or testing of strategies to reduce recidivism among probation and/or parole populations.

Category 2: Implementing Swift, Certain, and Fair Principles "Implementing Swift, Certain, and Fair Principles" supports replication of the Hawaii Opportunity Probation with Enforcement (HOPE) model of responding to the behavior of individuals on supervision with swift, certain, and fair consequences (SCF).

PRESERVE NEW JERSEY HISTORIC PRESERVATION FUND

The New Jersey Historic Trust's "Preserve New Jersey" Program advances historic preservation for the benefit of the state’s diverse population today and for its future generations. Through its education, tourism, stewardship, and financial investment programs, the Trust saves New Jersey’s heritage and strengthens its communities.  

This program has four grant tracks: 

  • Historic Site Management, for preparing strategic and architectural plans for historic sites.

  • Heritage Tourism Planning, for promoting and enhancing visitor experiences at the State's unique historic sites.

  • Municipal, County, and Regional Planning, for preparing design guidelines or historic preservation planning at the local level.

  • Capital Level I, II, and III, for capital projects that preserve, rehabilitate, or reserve historic structures within the state. 

Agencies or entities of county, municipal, and state governments, as well as nonprofits, are eligible to apply. Applicants may request funds from more than one grant type. Applicants may also apply for more than one historic resource in each grant round. 

Applications are due Thursday, April 16, 2026, by 4:00 P.M.

HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY GRANT PROGRAM

This program funds projects that reduce the number of crashes, injuries, fatalities, and related economic losses from traffic crashes on New Jersey's roadways. Priority projects for this program will focus on:

  • Impaired Driving

  • Enforcing the use of seatbelts

  • Community Traffic Safety Programs

  • Child Passenger Safety

  • Young Drivers

  • Data/Traffic Records

Funding Amount: $20,000,000 in total program funding.
